New Tuition Vehicle

With 8 Years and 293,000 Miles of very Loyal Service - Sadly the time came to Up-Date my Car. I am now teaching in a BMW 118dM Sport.

Although I have been very much in love with my old BMW for so many years, the new one is definitely an improvement on a number of levels.

It still has a 2.0l turbo diesel engine, making it both forgiving and swift ( when you need it to be ) but, the engine, and engine management system, are a lot more up to date and provide smoother power delivery as well as having the start / stop function that will re-start the engine much more quickly in the event of that inevitable stall !

BMW have improved the power steering with the addition of Servotronic - it actually changes the amount of help that you get so that when doing slow speed manoeuvres the steering is quite light, but at higher speeds along the dual carriageways, the steering is quite solid and doesn't feel at all twitchy.

Again BMW have opted for the fold down rear headrests, smaller roof pillars and with good sized windows and screens making all round visibility better than other similar cars. The door mirrors have been enlarged and that helps too.

Internally, the newer car looks and feels much more modern, everything is fully adjustable making my car fit you with ease. The dual zone climate control means that we can cool your side down if you are getting all hot and bothered, or warm it up a bit if you are feeling more chilly than me !

I have also added a tow bar as my previous car was hit in the rear a number of times, ( always at roundabouts - it is a bit of an occupational hazard I'm afraid ) but, with the tow bar fitted - never lost a fight !
